Since 1997, we have successfully partnered with communities, supporting them in the pursuit of their well being and prosperity.
KCDF’s focus for 2007-2008 was influenced greatly by events surrounding the December 2007 national elections in Kenya, where electoral disputes gave rise to unprecedented unrest and violence in many parts of the country.
This had a direct impact on our grant making process as there was a reduction in the disbursements of grants in the year 2007-2008 as KCDF disbursed a total of Kshs. 34, 824,146 – a drop of about Kshs 5,384,978 from the previous year.
The communities that we support have worked hard to bring peace back into and therefore transform their lives through programmes in areas such as Early Childhood Education, Girl-child development, Education, Food Security, Youth Development, Arts & Culture, and Endowment Building.
